"I REALLY LIVE THIS SHIT!!! All these fools you see out here trying to be all glitzy and glamorous look really half-ass."
Excerpt:
... I was anxious to meet the man who I would soon come to know as Leviticus Stokes, a forty-five-year- old transplant of Oakland, California, by way of Waco, Texas. Leviticus asked me to meet him in a small, hole-in-the-wall diner a little outside Oakland to discuss his “concerns about the integrity of Fahamu Pecou’s success” (as he so kindly would put it).
As soon as he walked in the diner, I couldn’t help but to notice his phenomenally spectacular sense of style. I must maintain, the man dressed like a prominent member of The Sapeurs and, to top it off, had the character of Morris Day combined with Malcolm McLaren. Who would of thought a cross like that would even be possible?
How did you come across Fahamu’s spread in PIMP magazine?
(Chuckles) My sista, take a look at me...I mean take a GOOD look at what you see here...it ain’t hard to tell that I am a man of style, what most would call a culture connoisseur. Therefore, it should come to you as no surprise that an impeccable breath of fresh air such as myself would be up on these sort of things.
You have to forgive me. It’s not everyday that I am able to meet a personality as versatile as yours. You must really be up on it since PIMP is not even distributed in the United States.
Let me learn ya now, I’ve been around the way for a while now. I’m up on a lot of things.
Tell me a bit about yourself and how you came to know Fahamu Pecou.
Well, I’m originally from a small place called Waco, Texas. Wasn’t much going on for me there and I didn’t fit in too well with everyone so I figured I had to eventually make my way out. I didn’t really know much about what I wanted to do or where I wanted to be... I just knew that I wanted to be That Nigga. Some months later, I call myself moving out to Hartsville, S.C. to stay with a friend. And let me tell you, when I got to Hartsville, I was That Nigga. Hands down, I was hot shit...
